ALL FOR ONE AND ONE FOR ALL
I’m a big believer in collaboration over competition. We all have our own niche, strengths and weaknesses and recognising and embracing that can be incredibly powerful. The 3 Marketeers is
a perfect example of how collaboration can work so well and I’m delighted to be part of this trio.
Introducing: The 3 Marketeers
We are 3 marketing experts. Myself, Sandra Maybury of Maybury Marketing together
with Brigeen O Sullivan and Eimear McDonnell of Match Marketing. You might look
and think, ‘How’s that going to work? Two marketing agencies in collaboration??’
But trust me, it couldn’t have worked out better !
‘How did it all start you ask?’ Well I’m a member of Network Ireland West Cork, while Brigeen and Eimear are members of the Kerry branch. We had met at various Network Ireland events. What began as general chit chat (as marketeers do!), comparing notes and swapping experiences, quickly turned into this mad idea “Will we jointly host an event????”
In true entrepreneurial fashion, we put the cart before the horse. As we began shaping what that event might look like, we needed a brand that represented us collectively. After several failed attempts to mix and match our company names (May-Match, Match-May… and a few other suggestions best forgotten!) we had a eureka moment and The 3 Marketeers was formed. It’s the perfect fit for us and what we are all about and we’ve received so much positive feedback about the name. Our slogan ‘Marketing made simple’, No jargon – Just results ! And that’s what we delivered.
On 13th November, we brought that brand to life with our first ever event, an in-person Marketing Made Simple workshop. A huge amount of work went into preparing for this. We divided the workload naturally, based on our strengths but also on our schedules. No drama, no stress, no ego. Just the three of us doing what needed to be done. The end result? A well-marketed, well-promoted campaign across both digital and traditional channels. A polished and practical slideshow deck. And an excellent workbook for each attendee to take away,
packed with guidance, prompts and action steps.
We welcomed incredible business owners and professionals who showed up, opened up and shared their stories. We offered our knowledge, insights and guidance. The atmosphere was supportive, encouraging and full of possibility. On delivery of the workshop, I felt so relaxed in Brigeen and Eimear’s company. We have a lovely energy together and it felt so naturally, like we had been doing this together for years.
When the workshop wrapped up, I’d love to tell you we clinked champagne glasses and basked in the moment… but real life had other plans. It was straight into the car and back to our usual multi-tasking madness: school collections, after-school activities, a dash around the shop and figuring out what to make for dinner. So it was only in the days that followed, that I truly appreciated and celebrated that moment.
And this is only the beginning. I believe we’ve created something truly special with The 3
Marketeers and we’re excited about what’s next: more workshops, more training and more opportunities to support Irish businesses. I absolutely love working with Brigeen and Eimear. We share the same energy and the same values. What makes this magic is …. there are no egos in the mix, just mutual respect, shared values and genuinely great energy.
While we each continue to run our own marketing agencies — Maybury Marketing and Match Marketing — this collaboration feels like a natural extension of everything we stand for.
Here’s to The 3 Marketeers and to whatever comes next.
