Project and Event Management
If you're a Club or Non-Profit organisation, you know how important it is to organise fundraisers. Maybe you have an idea for an event but don’t know where to start to get off the ground. I have worked with many groups on big events and the results speak for themselves. Likewise, if you are a business looking to organise a corporate event or a product launch but perhaps you don’t have the time to do this yourself.
I have been responsible for planning and delivery of many events and I feel really passionate about the end result. Each project is completely unique and individual, I get totally immersed in a project from the initial planning stages right through to and after the event and its follow up. One of the first major events I organised was Strictly Come Dancing, Bantry, which was a fundraiser for a local school and raised over €60,000 to date.
Such a lot of preparation goes into an event like Strictly, planning started 4 months before the event, from sourcing dance instructors, judges, AV services and many more suppliers, to working with the printers on branding, design of posters, tickets and programme. It’s a bit like a jigsaw, pulling all the pieces together. I love the nitty, gritting organisational nightmares that many others hate. We’ll discuss your vision and bring it to life.
Then in the run up to the event and including the live shows, it is about watching everything, especially the small details and any possible last minute glitches. But that’s what I love most about my job, is the variety, I thrive on multi-tasking and deadlines.
