Aisling's blog......

Hello everyone. For those of you who do not know me, my name is Aisling and I have been working at Maybury Marketing for the past four years.

Here is my story…. I first joinedthe Maybury Marketing team in August of 2021. I had returned home from Erasmus in March 2020 as soon as the news of COVID-19 was announced when I was forced to finish my degree at home in front of my computer. I was looking for summer employment and I was put in contact with Sandra. I had an interview and I started almost straight away. It was a remote position with flexible hours, which allowed me to work around my studies. I started designing and scheduling social media content for different clients and I really enjoyed this creative process. Under Sandra’s encouraging leadership, I have seen a significant improvement in my skills over the years.

I think my favourite projects waswhen I was asked to create a number of social media posts for one of Maybury Marketing’s clients, a Michelin star restaurant. It was very satisfying to use the striking visuals of the food and the popular tourist location to create visuals that exuded elegance in one of the most beautiful areas of Ireland. I also had to formulate different slogans which highlighted the beauty of their location and how the surrounding nature inspired their dishes. This pushed me to think outside the box but I was really proud of the results.

My position at Maybury Marketinghas followed me through some pretty big life events such as my final year of university during the pandemic and moving to France to pursue a 2-year Master’s
degree. Despite being in another country, I was able to continue working remotely for Sandra. This role has also been pivotal in my professional journey as, not only was I was liaising directly with client, something that was daunting for me initially, but I was also developing my own creative side. Which meant I was never bored!. This was the first time I had ever had a job like this,
I learned so much from Sandra and she encouraged me and trusted me to take on new challenges. This has really helped my confidence when applying for work post my masters.

My time at Maybury Marketing hasbeen a journey marked by creativity and growth. Navigating the world of digital marketing requires adaptability, creativity and a keen understanding of your
audience. Maybury Marketing continues to shape a vibrant online presence for its clients and I am thrilled to have been a part of it these past four years.

And now, as my time at MayburyMarketing has come to a close, I want to thank Sandra for everything she has done for me, whether that was giving me constructive advice on my posts and my videos or the time she sent me a card in the post with a Crunchie – just to show she was thinking of me. She afforded me time off to finish my college projects and various theses, which I am very grateful for. It has been an absolute pleasure.
